Scholarship description

The Wuhan University Chinese Government Scholarship 2026 is a fully funded program offered under the Chinese University Program (CSC Type B). It aims to support outstanding international students pursuing Master’s and PhD degrees in China. Sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, living stipend, insurance, and travel costs. Recipients will study at Wuhan University, one of China’s top institutions recognized for its strong research environment and global partnerships.

Who can apply

  • Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.

  • Master’s candidates: must hold a Bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.

  • Doctoral candidates: must hold a Master’s degree and be under 40 years old.

  • Applicants must not currently study in China or hold other scholarships.

  • Must meet language requirements:

    • Chinese-taught programs: HSK level 4 (science/engineering) or level 5 (arts/medicine).

    • English-taught programs: IELTS ≥ 6.0 or TOEFL ≥ 80 (waived for native English speakers).

  • Applicants should demonstrate strong academic and research potential.
