The Wellcome Discovery Research Scholarship 2026 is a prestigious fully funded program in the UK, designed to support researchers and research teams pursuing bold and innovative ideas across disciplines. It aims to transform the understanding of life, health, and well-being by funding groundbreaking projects, encouraging collaboration, and fostering diversity and inclusion in research environments.
Established researchers or research teams (with 2–8 coapplicants, though solo applicants are also eligible)
Applicants from any discipline with innovative and ambitious research ideas related to health or life sciences
Researchers committed to diversity, inclusivity, and building strong research environments
Applications must be submitted online through the official Wellcome application portal on their website.
