The Princeton Fung Global Fellowship 2026–27 is a prestigious fully funded program for exceptional early-career scholars in the social sciences and humanities. Fellows will spend one academic year at Princeton University, conducting independent research, improving their academic writing, and collaborating with world-class faculty. The fellowship includes salary support, professional development, mentorship, and opportunities to present research in seminars. It aims to foster international collaboration and intellectual exchange.
Early-career scholars in social sciences and humanities
Must have earned a PhD (or equivalent), generally after 1 September 2016
Must hold a faculty appointment or research position outside the United States
Current PhD students and postdoctoral researchers are not eligible
Applicants must commit to returning to their position after the fellowship
Strong academic achievement and intellectual potential are required
Applications are submitted online via the official fellowship application portal on Princeton’s website. Required documents: CV, cover letter (max 1.5 pages), research proposal (max 3 pages), one writing sample, and contact details for three referees.
