Scholarship description

The Kyutech MEXT PNST Fellowship 2026 is a fully funded program for international students from developing and non-spacefaring countries to pursue Master’s or PhD degrees in engineering and space-related fields at Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan. The fellowship covers all tuition, living, travel, housing, meals, and research expenses, with opportunities to engage in advanced laboratory training and space technology development. The program begins on October 1, 2026.

Who can apply

  • Citizens of developing or non-spacefaring nations

  • Formally nominated by their home institution

  • Born on or after April 2, 1991

  • Academic background in engineering or related technical fields

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (for Master’s) or a Master’s degree (for PhD)

  • Final-year bachelor’s students must complete their degree by September 2026
