Scholarship description
The Heidelberg University Scholarships 2026 support international students enrolling in the Master of Science in International Health (MScIH) programme. These scholarships aim to train future leaders in public health, focusing on poverty-related health challenges in low- and middle-income countries. With financial support from DAAD, KAAD, and Bread for the World, the scholarships cover living costs, health insurance, travel expenses, and accommodation, enabling talented students to study in one of Germany’s top universities and contribute to global health initiatives.
Who can apply

Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (4 years, 240 ECTS or equivalent) in a health-related discipline (medicine, nursing, social sciences, etc.).

Minimum one year of relevant work experience in public health, preferably in LMICs.

Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL iBT 92–93, IELTS 6.5, or equivalent).

At least one recommendation letter from a recent employer.

Strong motivation to contribute to international and global health development.
