Scholarship description

The Graduate Research Excellence Program (GRE Program) at VinUniversity is a 24-month, fully funded research-oriented graduate program aimed at nurturing future academic leaders and experts. It focuses on key research areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Biotechnology, and more.Students work directly with world-class professors, including Prof. Laurent El Ghaoui (UC Berkeley), Prof. Minh Do (University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign), and Prof. Vu Ha Van, among the top 2% most-cited researchers globally.The program offers access to modern facilities such as the Super Lab, Open Project Lab (24/7), and Rapid Prototyping Lab, along with opportunities to join international research networks and pursue further graduate study at VinUniversity or top global institutions.

Who can apply

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related fields with strong academic performance.

  • Demonstrate English proficiency:

    • IELTS ≥ 5.5 or equivalent (or a bachelor’s degree taught entirely in English).

  • Show outstanding research potential, creativity, motivation, and commitment.

  • Research-related skills (data analysis, programming, scientific writing, etc.) are an advantage.
